Tahoma extends road winning streak to 11

Recap: Tahoma Bears vs. Kentridge Chargers

The Tahoma Bears entered their tilt with the Kentridge Chargers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Tahoma came out on top against Kentridge by a score of 47-40 on Thursday. Given Tahoma's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Kentridge is ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tahoma found their leader in underclassman Adalynn Busch, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Jaycee Harrison was another key contributor, scoring five points.

Kentridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Esperanza, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Keowla, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.

Tahoma's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.91 points. As for Kentridge, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Tahoma will head out on the road to face off against Liberty at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kentridge, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
