Soccer Recap: George Wythe Takes a Loss

George Wythe was the 3-2 winner over Fort Chiswell when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Maroons fell 2-0 to the Pioneers on Monday.

George Wythe's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-3-1. As for Fort Chiswell, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Coincidentally, George Wythe and Fort Chiswell will both be playing Rural Retreat the next time they take the pitch. The Maroons will host the Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Pioneers will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
