Softball Game Preview: Serena Huskers vs. Earlville Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Serena will face off against Earlville. The Huskers will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Serena is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Serena's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Earlville. The high-scoring effort was just what the Huskers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Serena got a massive performance out of Maddie Young, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Young a new career-high. RayElle Brennan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Serena's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Earlville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
