Softball Game Preview: West Brook Bruins vs. Sterling Rangers

The West Brook Bruins will challenge the Sterling Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Brook will be strutting in after a victory while Sterling will be coming in after a defeat.

West Brook is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since February 15th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Lee 10-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Kehaira Haines (2025) was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kya Hadnot (2025), who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Haines (2025) wasn't the only one working in the hit department: West Brook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-2 to Nederland.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for West Brook, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

West Brook came up short against Sterling when the teams last played back in April of 2019, falling 8-5. Can West Brook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
