Burlingame falls despite strong effort from Alain Kazarian

Recap: Burlingame Panthers vs. Jefferson Grizzlies

The Burlingame Panthers were the 59-42 winner over the Jefferson Grizzlies when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Burlingame fell 55-44 to Jefferson on Wednesday. Burlingame just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Burlingame still got an impressive performance from Alain Kazarian, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Marcus Tapia, who scored 15 points.

Burlingame's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-8. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Burlingame's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hillsdale at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hillsdale is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Half Moon Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Half Moon Bay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jefferson in California (Half Moon Bay is ranked 122nd, while Jefferson is ranked 435th).
