Mariemont entered their tilt with Taylor on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They snuck past the Taylor Yellowjackets with a 58-53 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 128th).

Mariemont pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Taylor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mariemont will venture away from home to face off against Madeira at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mariemont has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three games. As for Taylor, they will take on Finneytown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
