Softball Recap: Hertford County Comes Up Short

Hertford County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-0 to the Currituck County Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Hertford County's record now sits at 0-4. As for Currituck County, their record now sits at 4-2.

Looking ahead, Hertford County will square off against Pasquotank County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Currituck County, they will take on Nansemond River at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Currituck County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Nansemond River's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
