Baseball Recap: Victor Valley Christian Starts Season with Win on the Road

Victor Valley Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Bethel Christian Kings. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Victor Valley Christian let Zar Palido and Bijon Williams run wild. Palido scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while Williams scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodie Gross, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Victor Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 victory against Palmdale Academy Charter School on the 27th. As for Bethel Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 19-1 loss against Loma Linda Academy on the 25th.
