Recap: Salem Quakers vs. West Branch Warriors
The Salem Quakers fell victim to the West Branch Warriors''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Warriors, falling 49-0. Salem's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Boston Mulinix continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for West Branch, rushing for 112 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Mulinix is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played. Joey Jackson was another key contributor, picking up 119 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Salem's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. As for West Branch, the win was the ninth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Branch will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 304th, while West Branch is ranked 121st).
