Baseball Recap: Euclid Takes a Loss

Euclid had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 6-11 to make it four. They lost 16-0 to the Brunswick Blue Devils. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 26-1 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Brunswick, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Brunswick's part, Joey Sheely looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Jackson Briggs was a standout: he got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Zak Turk also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Brunswick beat Euclid by a score of 11-0 later that day.
