Baseball Game Preview: Viera Hawks vs. Dwyer Panthers

For the second straight game, Viera will face off against Dwyer. The Hawks will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Viera's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Dwyer has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Viera is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Dwyer 3-2. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by just one run.

For Dwyer's part, they got a good showing from Michael Fredel, who tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fredel has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dwyer saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Pecoraro, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Shane Rosenberg also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
