It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Escambia had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  9-2 margin over the Booker T. Washington Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won 12 games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Parker Zareck tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Clayton Sanders, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Christian Stone, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
 Escambia was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in 11 consecutive  matches.
Escambia's record now sits at 20-5. As for Booker T. Washington, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record  this season.
 Escambia will be playing at home against Choctawhatchee  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Gators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.1  runs per game this season. Booker T. Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
