Baseball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville's last matchup with Good Hope could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Danville Hawks came up short against the Good Hope Raiders, falling 8-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Hawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Danville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. Good Hope's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

While Danville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
