Basketball Recap: Linden-McKinley Takes a Loss

Linden-McKinley entered their contest against Whetstone on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Linden-McKinley Panthers were outmatched by the Whetstone Braves and fell 49-13. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Linden-McKinley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Whetstone, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linden-McKinley will take on Horizon Science Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Whetstone, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
