Softball Recap: Avon Park Takes a Loss

After flying high against Davenport last Tuesday, Avon Park came back down to earth. The Avon Park Red Devils fell just short of the Lake Wales Highlanders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss was the Red Devils' first of the season.

Avon Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Janely Ayala, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Avon Park fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Avon Park will be playing in front of their home fans against Frostproof at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Wales, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on St. Cloud at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
