It's playoff time, and St. John had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Gonzaga Eagles a 7-0 shutout on Monday. The win was nothing new for the Cadets as they're now sitting on 17 straight.

St. John's victory was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gonzaga, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-12.

St. John's will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
