Volleyball Recap: Walton-Verona Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Walton-Verona challenged Fleming County on Wednesday. The Bearcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Walton-Verona dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fleming County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walton-Verona will square off against Shelby County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fleming County, they will head out to challenge East Jessamine at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
