Preview: Washington Pam Pack vs. D.H. Conley Vikings
Washington is 0-9 against D.H. Conley since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Washington Pam Pack will head out on the road to face off against the D.H. Conley Vikings at 6:00 p.m.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-24, which was the final score in Washington's tilt against South Central on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Washington in their matchups with South Central: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 19 to ten on the offensive boards, a fact D.H. Conley proved on Tuesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 40-39 win over Farmville Central.
D.H. Conley can attribute much of their success to Charlazha Wilson, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals, and Ella Pierre-Louis, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Pierre-Louis' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Moira Skalar, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds.
Their wins bumped Washington to 1-2 and South Central to 4-1.
Washington was dealt a bruising 64-8 defeat at the hands of D.H. Conley when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Washington, Kylah Silver (who scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
