Baseball Game Preview: River Mill Jaguars vs. Eno River Academy Bobcats

The River Mill Jaguars will head out on the road to challenge the Eno River Academy Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. River Mill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Last Wednesday, River Mill beat Durham School of the Arts 5-2.

Blake Lutterloh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyton Tubbs, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aydan Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Eno River Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Roxboro Community.

Eno River Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for River Mill, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4.
