Football Game Preview: King's Academy Knights vs. Mountain View Spartans + Official Tickets

The King's Academy Knights will take on the Mountain View Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. King's Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

King's Academy gave up the first points on Thursday, but they didn't give up any more after. They took down San Mateo 28-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King's Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ricky Gutierrez, who threw for 237 yards and three TDs while completing 76% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Gutierrez has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Jaiden Flores was Gutierrez's top target, picking up 115 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Mountain View came up short against Capuchino on Friday and fell 35-28. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

King's Academy took their victory against Mountain View in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 32-7 score. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
