Softball Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

Winfield was the 5-2 winner over Madison Academy when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates came up short against the Mustangs on Thursday, falling 10-4. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly six runs.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 36-20. As for Madison Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-11-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Winfield nor Madison Academy have any future games scheduled.
