The Carolina M Mustangs will be playing at home against the Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carolina M will be looking to keep their 15-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
In what's become a running theme this season, Carolina M gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by Emerson Waldorf at home to the tune of 54-22. The victory was just what Carolina M needed coming off of a 60-37 defeat in their prior contest.
Carolina M's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abigail Faison led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Catie Alexander, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Cristo Rey Research Triangle had to endure an 18-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Emerson Waldorf with a 40-35 victory on Thursday. Cristo Rey Research Triangle's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Cristo Rey Research Triangle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Londynn Campbell out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Campbell has scored all season. Yari Fortune was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Carolina M has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Cristo Rey Research Triangle, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-10.
Everything came up roses for Carolina M against Cristo Rey Research Triangle in their previous matchup last Tuesday as the squad secured a 54-13 victory.
