Basketball Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss

Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 42-28 to the Science Hill Hilltoppers. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 79th).

Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Science Hill, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Jefferson County will challenge Sevier County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Science Hill, they will face off against Dobyns-Bennett at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
