Softball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley blew Florin out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Florin got their revenge. The Vikings fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 16-14. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Florin, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Looking ahead, Valley will face off against West Campus at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Florin, they will challenge Burbank at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 24.43 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
