Baseball Game Preview: Chalker Wildcats vs. Badger Braves

The Chalker Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Badger Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chalker has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chalker came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-0 to Bristol.

Chalker saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Pack, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Badger came up short against Bristol on Tuesday, falling 16-5. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Deegan Hunkus was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alton Winchek, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Chalker's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Badger, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Chalker came out on top in a nail-biter against Badger in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 14-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
