Baseball Game Preview: Central Springs Panthers vs. Northwood-Kensett Vikings

Central Springs is 8-2 against Northwood-Kensett since June of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will square off against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Central Springs came up short against Forest City on Thursday, falling 9-3. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Northwood-Kensett's offense. They lost 14-0 to Newman Catholic on Friday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Northwood-Kensett is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Central Springs, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3.

Central Springs skirted past Northwood-Kensett 10-8 when the teams last played back in June of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
