Football Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 30-14 bruising from the Lake City Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Swamp Foxes have lost by exactly 16 points.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lake City, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Coincidentally, Marion and Lake City will both be playing Manning the next time they take the field. The Swamp Foxes will head out to face the Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
