Football Game Preview: Waltrip Rams vs. Sterling Raiders + Official Tickets

The Waltrip Rams will challenge the Sterling Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Waltrip and Madison, and Madison kept the tradition alive. The Rams lost 49-26 to the Marlins on Friday.

Despite their loss, Waltrip saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lil Eric Norris, who picked up 134 receiving yards and one TD, was perhaps the best of all. Another passer making a difference was James 'Jimmy' Haren, who threw for 275 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Sterling came up short against Spring Woods on Friday and fell 22-13. While the Raiders had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Tigers 6-0.

Waltrip will have to contain Jakorie Canady as he made an impact in Sterling's last game. He rushed for 37 yards and one score, and also caught one TD.

Waltrip's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
