Volleyball Recap: Yerba Buena Takes a Loss

The Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors came up short against the Oak Grove Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Yerba Buena was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Oak Grove work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-22.

Oak Grove's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Tran, who had 12 assists and seven digs.

Yerba Buena now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Oak Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Yerba Buena will venture away from home to face off against KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Grove, they will welcome Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
