Football Recap: Winona's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Winona had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Aberdeen Bulldogs 42-20 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Landon Crawford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 87 yards and two scores on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Winona was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 407 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Winona's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 7.5 times. The heavy lifting was done by Quincy Burt and Navarius Davis, who racked up five sacks between them. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another thorn in Aberdeen's side was Brayden Flowers, who picked up a sack and made ten total tackles (1.5 for loss).

Winona's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Aberdeen, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Winona will welcome Noxubee County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winona will need to watch out since Noxubee County has now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. Aberdeen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
