Basketball Game Preview: Indian Land Warriors vs. Fort Mill Yellow Jackets

Indian Land is 1-8 against Fort Mill since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Indian Land Warriors will square off against the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m.

Indian Land is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Clover on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Indian Land was outmatched by Clover and fell 71-21. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.

Meanwhile, Fort Mill took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 58-14 victory over Independence. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 49th in South Carolina, while the Patriots are ranked 458th in North Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Fort Mill and bumps their season record up to 14-10. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.5 points. As for Indian Land, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.

Things could have been worse for Indian Land, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-31 loss to Fort Mill in their previous meeting back in January. Can Indian Land avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
