Softball Preview: Trimble County Raiders vs. North Oldham Mustangs        
        
		
            The Trimble County Raiders will head out to  square off against the North Oldham Mustangs  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Trimble County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8  runs per game  this season.
Trimble County's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. They put the hurt on Eminence with a sharp  16-0 win. Considering the Raiders have won nine contests by more than nine  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Alyssa Ritchie made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs and one  RBI. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Trimble County let  Jaelyn Holbrook and  Hannah Chilton run wild. Holbrook  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and two  runs, while  Chilton  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jocie Stucker, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Trimble County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .560. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in four consecutive  games.
 Meanwhile, North Oldham had to endure  a  five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Atherton on Thursday as they made off with  an  8-0 victory.
 Trimble County has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for North Oldham, their record is now 11-14.
 Trimble County came out on top in a nail-biter against North Oldham in their previous matchup  back in March, sneaking past  5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
