Volleyball Game Preview: Eisenhower Knights vs. Conneaut Area Eagles

Conneaut Area will be up against a hot Eisenhower squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Knights came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Hickory.

Eisenhower had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 15-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-20, 20-18.

Meanwhile, Conneaut Area came up short against Cochranton on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

While Conneaut Area ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21.

Eisenhower will have to keep a close watch on Natalie Samuels and Riley Miller, a pair of players who had a big impact on Conneaut Area's prior game. Samuels had 13 digs and four assists, while Miller had six digs and five kills. With that strong performance, Samuels is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Eisenhower's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Conneaut Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-5-1 record this season.
