Recap: Galesburg Christian Lions vs. Faith Christian Falcons
After a string of four wins, the Galesburg Christian Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Faith Christian, falling 71-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Galesburg Christian in their matchups with Faith Christian: they've now lost six in a row.
Isaiah Schuler was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with seven rebounds and five assists for Faith Christian. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Tyler Kibble was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Galesburg Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Faith Christian, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Galesburg Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morning Star Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Hopefully Morning Star Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Tuesday.
