Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lighthouse Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats on Wednesday.

When it comes to explaining why Lighthouse Christian lost, don't look at Elijah Rahn. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Rahn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lee Stinson, who posted ten points.

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats found their leader in sophomore Vanden Garner, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats is 11-4 when Garner posts eight or more boards, but 9-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gideon Ohuabunwa, who earned 12 points and eight rebounds.

Lighthouse Christian's loss dropped their record down to 26-11. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, their win bumped their record up to 20-14.

Lighthouse Christian has already played their next game, a 79-68 victory against Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF on the 13th. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-48 win against Capital HomeSchool on the 13th.
