Basketball Recap: Thomas More Prep-Marian Takes a Loss

Thomas More Prep-Marian lost against Central Plains back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs took a hard 47-30 fall against the Central Plains Oilers. While losing is never fun, the Monarchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Oilers are ranked 81st).

Thomas More Prep-Marian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Central Plains, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Thomas More Prep-Marian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Central Plains will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Macksville at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
