It's playoff time, and Great Crossing had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bryan Station Defenders on Saturday, sneaking past 59-56. The win was familiar territory for Great Crossing, who have now won 22 games in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Great Crossing to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malachi Moreno, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Moreno is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last 18 games he's played. Vince Dawson was another key player, shooting 60% from the field on his way to 14 points and six assists.

Great Crossing was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 29-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Great Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Bryan Station, they moved to 25-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Great Crossing will face off against Frederick Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Crossing knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 26 contests -- so hopefully Frederick Douglass likes a good challenge. Bryan Station does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
