Basketball Game Preview: Palmer Tigers vs. Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets

The Palmer Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 9.

On Tuesday, Palmer didn't have quite enough to beat Hampton and fell 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heartland Lutheran). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Elba 77-40. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Red Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.

Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Heartland Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

Palmer was dealt a bruising 61-25 loss at the hands of Heartland Lutheran in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Palmer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
