Volleyball Recap: Village Christian Crusaders vs. Woodrow Wilson Bruins

Village Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of the Woodrow Wilson Bruins by a score of 2-1.

Village Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-21, 26-24.

Loss or not, Village Christian got some senior leadership from Kylee Martin and Keegan Hudspeth. Martin had 14 digs and three aces, while Hudspeth had seven digs and five aces. The dominant performance gave Hudspeth a new career-high in aces.

Even though they lost, Village Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
