Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Warriors vs. St. John Fighting Herald

After losing to St. John the last time they met, Edgewood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 3-1 win over the Fighting Herald on Tuesday.

While Edgewood might've won, it sure wasn't easy: St. John scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Leading Edgewood to victory were Summer Matthews and Lucianna Paolillo. Matthews had seven digs and two aces, while Paolillo had 16 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Paolillo has posted since back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, St. John still got an impressive performance from Alexa Jordan, who had 45 digs and two aces. Jordan has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katie Carney, who had 19 digs and two aces.
