Basketball Game Preview: Crossroads Christian Colts vs. Wake Forest Cougars

The Crossroads Christian Colts and the Wake Forest Cougars will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Crossroads Christian and five for Wake Forest.

Crossroads Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Granville.

Despite their loss, Crossroads Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kobe Edgerton, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. Edgerton's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Josh Smith was another key player, going 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Wake Forest took a blow against C.B. Aycock on Saturday, falling 69-37.

Crossroads Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Wake Forest, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
