Hope Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Highland Hornets 21-3. The win was just business as usual For Hope Christian, who after one games remain undefeated this season.
Iliana Cordova was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Cordova was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring five runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
