Recap: Colonial Christian Patriots vs. Redland Christian Academy FALCONS
The Colonial Christian Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. The matchup between Colonial Christian and Redland Christian Academy wasn't particularly close, with Colonial Christian falling 76-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kevin Gomez, who scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds. Gomez scored a full 39.7% of Colonial Christian's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ari Espinosa, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Colonial Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Redland Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Colonial Christian will head out on the road to face off against Grace Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redland Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colonial Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Colonial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
