Baseball Recap: Rimrock Comes Up Short

Rimrock extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They lost 11-1 to the Glenns Ferry Pilots. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly ten runs.

Rimrock saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Farfan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Glenns Ferry, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4. The result was nothing new for the Pilots, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

On Glenns Ferry's side, Junior Sanchez and Payton Reynolds did most of the damage at the plate: Sanchez went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Reynolds went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Sanchez has become a key player for the Pilots: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Heath Parsons also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Rimrock didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 30-10 defeat against Garden Valley on the 9th. As for Glenns Ferry, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-1 victory against Idaho City on the 9th.
