Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Millburn Millers. The Bengals were probably out for revenge after losing 60-37 to them when the teams met back in January of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Millburn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Plotkin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chace Redler, who posted 20 points and five rebounds.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Millburn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will welcome Irvington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millburn has already played their next game (against Caldwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
