Basketball Recap: McKenzie Comes Up Short

McKenzie lost against Mapleton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McKenzie Eagles came up short against the Mapleton Sailors, falling 48-28.

McKenzie has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Mapleton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKenzie will head out to square off against Alsea at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mapleton, they will venture away from home to face off against Mohawk at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
