After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Annandale, Glencoe-Silver Lake was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Springfield Tigers. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Glencoe-Silver Lake moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Glencoe-Silver Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Springfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-2 loss against St. Cloud Cathedral on the 3rd.
