After a string of four wins, Kittson Central/Lancaster's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mayer Lutheran Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Kaydence White paced Kittson Central/Lancaster's offense, picking up four kills. White got some help from Camryn Whitlock and her seven assists. Whitlock also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brynn Hennen, racking up two apiece.

Kittson Central/Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Mayer Lutheran, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
