Basketball Recap: Seton Catholic Central Comes Up Short

If Seton Catholic Central was feeling good fresh off their 50-18 takedown of Willsboro Central last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Seton Catholic Central Knights fell 32-24 to the Schroon Lake Wildcats on Friday. The match was a 11-11 toss-up at halftime, but the Knights couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Seton Catholic Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dayline Willette posted seven points and three blocks. The dominant performance also gave Willette a new career-high in assists (two). Grace Trombley was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Seton Catholic Central fell to 2-1.

Seton Catholic Central is taking a road trip to face off against Northern Adirondack at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Schroon Lake, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Warrensburg at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
