Wellsville is a perfect 10-0 against Anderson County since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wellsville Eagles will head out to square off against the Anderson County Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Wellsville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Last Friday, Wellsville made easy work of Osawatomie and carried off a 61-41 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Anderson County hadn't done well against Girard recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Anderson County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 victory over Girard. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Trojans are ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wellsville's record is now 9-5-1. As for Anderson County, their record is now 10-4.

Everything came up roses for Wellsville against Anderson County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 74-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wellsville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
